Initial project

PwC contacted White Hart to develop a suite of promotional videos within an interactive map for Witherslack. Content was aimed at local authorities, service users and investors. We filmed across Oxfordshire, West Yorkshire, the Northeast, and the Northwest at 19 educational and residential locations. Overall, filming took place over 11 days. Our main point of contact was the client’s marketing director who accompanied us on all shoots. We interviewed staff members and edited together a three-to four-minute case study of each of the group’s 15 schools. In fact, several of their children’s homes were also documented. We filmed interviews using a two-person crew of director/interviewer and camera operator.

We prepared interview topics in advance with the client, and interviewees were given the topics to prepare. An online interactive map was also created with the videos embedded, showing locations and photographs of all the client’s provisions. The videos capture the atmosphere of the schools and homes, reflecting the Witherslack brand. Additionally, videos also show off the buildings housing the schools, inside and out.

The project we worked on with White Hart was a particularly important piece of work for our Group. We needed to complete a significant amount of filming across our business with minimal disruption within an extremely tight timeframe. The WH team worked extremely effectively, delivering a great end product that produced the desired results for the project.

Ongoing relationship

Since creating this initial suite of videos, we have developed an excellent relationship with Witherslack Group, going on to shoot videos for their new school additions, and updating existing videos to reflect improvements and new staff. As part of the ongoing contract, we also produce videos on their values and services, providing information to parents, stakeholders, and the wider teaching community. This includes regular interviews with the young people attending these schools themselves.
