HS2 - Align

White Hart Multimedia has been working on the C1 section of HS2 since 2019. The contractor for this section of the route is ALIGN, a joint venture of three international and privately-owned infrastructure companies; Bouygues Construction, Sir Robert McAlpine, and VolkerFitzpatrick.

We are the main media providers for this section of the route producing documentary case studies, monthly progress photography, drone flights and progress filming.

We have also created their induction program. The induction program is separated into two parts, an online portal, and an onsite workshop. The online portal is a pre-induction in response to Covid-19. Employees complete a 20-minute remote learning program which includes video interviews, video dramas, animated games, and questionnaires. Upon completion they are invited to attend our onsite workshop which is presented by one of our professional facilitators daily. Over 3,000 employees completed the course between June & December 2020. The induction program has been described as industry leading and is being further enhanced with the use of AR and interactive content.

Since the start of the project, we have produced over 70 video case studies for Align. Interviews conducted with subject matter experts, senior management, workforce and community form the core of the story and are then supported by strong B-roll footage to illustrate, enhance and explain what is being told.

In addition to internal communication to the workforce, it’s important to engage local stakeholders and communities. The above video focuses on community directly, showcasing the actions Align have taken to mitigate the effects of their building works on local residents


We have captured many events, including milestone events, safety stand up and community liaison events. These have proved a valuable tool in sharing the moment with those who were unable to attend and were used successfully in both internal and external marketing communications.

We are also known for creating topical videos at short notice, responding rapidly to tight turnarounds. For example, we created a series of intimate conversational interviews for Pride month, where we encouraged the subjects’ personality and stories to blossom. The videos were filmed, edited and delivered within a week


I found the entire experience a pleasure and wholly professional. It was well planned, calmly executed and the results are both extremely polished and very moving. I trusted Rhys to make this the best representation of my views and experience – and I wasn’t disappointed. He explained everything to me and made me feel at ease whilst filming.
