Most people are familiar with the flexibility of a Word document. You can pick up sentences and paragraphs, and move them around on screen until you have composed what you want.

Digital editing does the same with moving pictures and sound but on many more levels. Digital editing suites, like Final Cut Pro which we use, are built for speed, flexibility and control. As well as a comprehensive array of editing tools and multi-track audio functions, the system has powerful text applications and integrates easily with DVD and graphics packages.

Once footage is digitised into the system’s memory it can be easily manipulated and different techniques applied. Clients are welcome to join us at our offices to help fast track the edit process by taking decisions on-the-spot. It is amazing what can be achieved in a day.

Archiving: Any footage we shoot for you automatically is archived in our library for use at a later date. When a project is completed we send you a final version and the number of duplications you require. At the same time we print a copy to tape and as an mpeg file and hold them both in our archive. In time we will also “media manage” a copy of your edit files.

The four-fold approach provides us with maximum flexibility if you want us to alter the production at a later date or require additional copies.
